Bio
Hannah Baumgardt
Artist
Founder of The Griffin's Treasure
Hannah graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota, with a degree in English Creative Writing. She minored in book arts and theology. She enjoys all things creative. This includes writing and publishing short stories, running a small sculpture business, playing clarinet for church choir, and whatever small (or not so small) projects have seized her interest!
Her sculptures are made with polymer clay and epoxy. They begin with a wire, mesh, and foil armature for structure and strength. Clay is layered on top, then shaped and textured with a variety of tools. Once cured, each sculpture is refined by carving and sanding. They are painted with acrylic, airbrush, and powdered pigments.
